Behind the sound.

ROOTS / RHYTHM / WORDS

A storyteller.
A sound of his own.

Starting out on guitar and flute, Archie developed classical and folk influences from an early age. Rap, hip-hop and grime added a passion for words and lyrical wordplay.

Flute, beatboxing, rap and looping became part of his live performances. Guitar and saxophone also feature in the organic sound of his songwriting and production.

His artist biography describes a storyteller with humour, intensity and simplicity — singing and rapping across an urban-folk sound.
